Since 2006 Cookie has been providing in-home pet sitting, dog walking and house sitting services for all of the Westshore, Sooke, East Sooke & Metchosin, plus she also provides drop-in visits and travels to where she is needed.
Cookie is first aid certified, insured, bondable and happy to provide references upon request. She is also experienced in farm, domestic and exotic animal care as well as working with rescued dogs who have serious issues.
Cookie decided she needed a lifestyle change from the Mainland and upon arriving here, like so many others who have quit the big city life, realized that being out and about in Nature is hard to beat on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Before creating her own business, Cookie volunteered at the Wild Arc where her duties included preparing meals and feeding raccoon babies and birds of all ages. She has also rescued many injured wild creatures and delivered them to the Wild Arc rescue facility, including deer, painted turtles, birds and a rabbit.
Before Cookie moved to Vancouver Island she used to volunteer at a Humane Society for cats on the Mainland where she worked with taming ferral cats, fostering many of them in her own home. Cookie has an especially soft part in her heart for these little souls that need mending and has provided a loving home for many of these fostered rescues herself.
Coupled with her love of animals and filling a need for the many dog owners who spend long hours at work and cannot exercise their best friends during the day she decided to create a business that would combine her passion for animals with her love of nature and Cookie's Critter Care was born.

Cookie is also very creative as she makes cat and dog toys which she sells at local Farmer's Markets, Dog & Cat Shows and Christmas Fares, and you can call her anytime to order toys.
