Finney is a lovely 7-yr-old, spayed, male Rat Terrier who currently lives in Sooke with his human friend, Kate. Kate contacted K-9 Super Heroes.com Dog Whispering recently because she was not sure if (as a first time dog owner) she was the right match for Finney.

After going the distance, and learning what Finney needs to be happy, plus much soul searching, Kate has come to the conclusion that her gentle, artistic nature and her first love of sharing her home with a family of entertaining ferrets, means that she truly is not the best match for a high energy Rat Terrier.

If you think you can provide lots of regular exercise and a happy home for a loving, high energy Rat Terrier, please contact Kate and arrange for an interview to see if YOU might be the perfect human match for Finney.

K-9SuperHeroes.com Dog Whispering

The Goldstream Nature House hosted their first “Dog Days of Summer” this last weekend and if you weren’t there, you missed out on a fun time.

There was a little free dog whispering on the Saturday with K-9SuperHeroes.com, then a naturalist guided hike with dogs and their humans reminding all us dogs about how important it is to stay on the trails and not upset the sensitive ecosystems, followed by a hot dog barbecue and then a fun for all doggy talent show.

If you missed out this year, check out some of the cute characters that attended with their humans below, and make sure to mark your calendar for sometime next summer and get yourself and your humans to the Goldstream Nature Park for the Dog Days of Summer Event.

Does the fact that Boris was indeed born in Metchosin qualify him to enter the Metchosin Sheep Dog Clinic at Collie Acres on the 16th and subsequent 17th Annual Metchosin Sheep Dog Trials coming up on the 17th & 18th?
