Levi was lost in Vancouver, early sightings were with a transient man. I just got a call yesterday that someone saw a transient guy in Duncan on Tues. with a blue Merle Aussie. We don’t know if it is him but are asking people to PLEASE keep their eyes open!
If he is traveling, i need to find him before he gets too far!!! We don’t know if it is our dog with him, WE NEED A PICTURE TO KNOW FOR SURE!!! Please keep your eyes peeled!
IF YOU THINK YOU SEE HIM TAKE A PICTURE! I need to know if it is my Levi.
Approach the person he is with, everyone loves to say hi to a cute dog. Is he Small, 12-14″ high body, Head maybe to your knee ~18″? Look at his face, Levi’s markings are very unique! Does he have 2 Brown Eyes? Does he have a Full curly whitish tail? Is he Mostly Black and White?
Then CALL 778-847-7045 IMMEDIATELY! Put this number in your phone! Tracy Myerson and Anita Komonski are his moms.
Levi is VERY SHY! so if he is with someone do NOT just grab him and take him, he will run and bad things will happen. Just call me RIGHT AWAY! We will get the reward to you after he is safely back with us, we PROMISE!
He is Small, 17 lbs, has 2 Brown Eyes and a Full Fluffy Tail (white-ish color). He is a Blue Merle, which means mottled Black and White, with Brown only in his face and back legs. He is crossed with something from the Spitz family, maybe a Pom? He is micro-chipped and registered with 24 hour Pet Watch
If you can post this on your facebook page and print out to post in your office too, that would be hugely appreciated!
You can also Re-Share the original Levi Posting on your work or personal page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jett-Grrl-Bike-Studio/122554664480679, and ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO RE-SHARE! Bobby, the Bichon/Shih Tzu Needs a Forever Home
17Dec2012:
Bobby is a non-shedding, 6-year-old Bichon/Shih Tzu mix who is hoping to find a new forever home for the New Year.
Bobby was adopted by Carol from the SPCA about three years ago and finds that he has an issue with dogs he doesn’t know or strangers coming into the home.
Carol shares her home with her daughter who is due to give birth to her first baby in January and Mom is worried that Bobby may not be able to be trusted with a baby.
Carol says he would be the perfect dog for an older couple who don’t have other pets and don’t have a lot of unknown people visiting as he is a loving dog in the home.
Bobby requires e a strong, consistent pack leader who can show him that he doesn’t need to show aggression toward other dogs or visitors coming to the home. If this is you, Bobby could be your perfect companion.
Please contact Carol at: vcbarker2@hotmail.com OR asia@k-9superheroes.com if you would like more information, and please pass on Bobby’s information to all your dog loving friends so we can help find Bobby a new home for the New Year.

Estrela Mountain Dog Needs a New Home

Doogie, the Estrela Mtn Dog
Good News! Doogie has moved to the mountains in Canmore, Alberta where he will soon have a home much better suited to who he is and what he needs to be happy.
This is Doogie, a 95-pound, 20-month-old Estrela Mountain Dog who was imported from a breeder in North Carolina.
Doogie is looking for a new, free to the right owner in a good home because his owner has recently suffered a serious accident which may permanently prevent the family from being to able to provide Doogie with the physical exercise or mental stimulation a young, energetic dog requires.
First, a brief breed overview:
The Estrela is a natural herding and guarding dog who needs lots of space to run and a dedicated human who is already a strong pack leader and who has the time to devote to being with him every day.
The Estrela is a beautiful, long-haired, double coated and very unique large breed dog you won’t often see locally because this ancient breed originated in the Estrela Mountains of Portugal where it has been used for centuries for guarding herds and homesteads. Today the Estrela is still a working dog, guarding flocks and also being used as border patrol or police dogs.
For an experienced leader who knows how to treat a young, strong, energetic dog with respect and compassion, and spend lots of time with him in the right situation, Doogie will make a wonderfully alert and loyal companion.
Doogie is very affectionate in the home and gets along well with family members and other pets who are part of the family. He has already received considerable training to help him be less reactive to strange dogs or new situations he may encounter when out walking on leash. Perhaps you can provide the ongoing guidance Doogie needs.
Doogie needs a strong, confident leader, and if you think you are the right person to continue Doogie’s training and provide him with lots of exercise and plenty of interesting and stimulating circumstances so that he’s not bored, in a loving forever home that will always be well guarded, please contact Ray or Laurie for further information at 250-592-6614 or send an e-mail to asia@k-9superheroes.com today.

Summer Should Not Be HOT Dogs in HOT Cars
Summer means HOT dogs, and I’m not talking about the kind that you put in a bun with mustard and relish.
If you take your dog with you when you’re out and about in your vehicle, now is the time to remember that if you cannot take your dog out of the vehicle when you arrive at your destination, or you cannot park in a cool, underground or shaded parking area, better to leave your best fur friend at home.
The following is a very eye opening report from the Department of Geosciences, San Francisco State University that graphically shows us just how hot it can get inside a parked vehicle in a very short period of time, even with the windows cracked.
“Every year, hundreds of pets die from heat exhaustion because they are left in parked vehicles. We’ve heard the excuses: “Oh, it will just be a few minutes while I go into the store,” or “But I cracked the windows…” These excuses don’t amount to much if your pet becomes seriously ill or dies from being left in a vehicle.
The temperature inside your vehicle can rise almost 20º F in just 10 minutes. In 20 minutes, it can rise almost 30º F…and the longer you wait, the higher it goes. At 60 minutes, the temperature in your vehicle can be more than 40 degrees higher than the outside temperature. Even on a 70-degree day, that’s 110 degrees inside your vehicle!Your vehicle can quickly reach a temperature that puts your pet at risk of serious illness and even death, even on a day that doesn’t seem hot to you. And cracking the windows makes no difference.
Want numbers? An independent study1 showed that the interior temperature of vehicles parked in outside temperatures ranging from 72 to 96º F rose steadily as time increased.”

Please be kind to your fur friends this summer and make sure that you don’t leave them in your vehicles even for a hot minute.
